Revolution has launched its fourth edition of Horological Symposiums, offering rare insights from industry veterans on the evolving art and science of watchmaking. Meanwhile, the main stage belongs to the timepieces themselves as over 60 brands are unveiling their latest creations in these final days of summer. This joins the Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Smoked Salmon that was newly released just two days before, which sports a beautiful smoked salmon dial with a vertical griffé finish. H. Moser & Cie Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Smoked Salmon · Read: H. Moser & Cie. Unveils Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Smoked Salmon In White Gold · Hautlence unveils two additions to its Vagabonde line: the Vagabonde Tourbillon Series 4 and Series 5. Set in the emblematic rectangular case, the watches stage wandering hours that travel across a central minute disc, with the one-minute flying tourbillon at six o’clock. The watch runs on the self-winding Observatory-certified chronometer LM1806, featuring a circular-grained plate that frames the openworked, gilded rotor, which reveals the watch’s individual number as it spins. Massena Lab and Vianney Halter have joined forces to present Old Soul, a piece that’s wrapped in Halter’s signature steampunk-inspired design language powered by a century-old Minerva movement. This movement in question is from a stockpile of vintage Minerva 17’22 calibers, where Massena and Halter have reimagined these rediscovered relics for present day, modifying them with a transparent minute disc to create a “mystery” dial complication; this marks the first time a vintage Minerva movement has been used in this way.For the first time, Renaud Tixier collaborates directly with master dialmaker, Olivier Vaucher, pairing the patented RVI2023 micro-rotor system with Vaucher’s métier d’art expertise. The result is Monday Organica — “Monday” to signify the day of rebirth and creative beginnings. Renaud Tixier × Olivier Vaucher “Monday Organica” · The watch immediately showcases a dial as a miniature work of art.

Everything you need to know about Geneva Watch Days | EVENTS

Geneva Watch Days 2024 is the fair's biggest edition yet. Here's all the most important details, including brands, dates and the program. Since its establishment in 2020, Geneva Watch Days has emerged as one of the most important events on the watch industry’s calendar: a welcome third act following on from LVMH Watch Week at the start of the year and Watches and Wonders Geneva in April (as well as all the “Geneva Watch Week” exhibitions that surround Watches and Wonders).Something that complicates things for us watch journalists (but really is only good news for watch lovers) is that this year, Geneva Watch Days and Watches and Wonders Shanghai overlap, with the latter taking place from Wednesday the 28th of August to Sunday the 1st of September. We’re not sure if this was a deliberate move on behalf of Richemont, but Geneva Watch Days is the bigger fair in this instance: while there are 53 brands exhibiting at GWD, only 9 brands are exhibiting in Shanghai (A.As I mentioned at the start of this article, Geneva Watch Days was launched in 2020 – a year that would prove to be a significant turning point for the Swiss watch industry. Baselworld, formerly the watch industry’s leading trade fair, was forced to cancel its 2020 edition due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our Founders Top 5 Watches from Geneva Watch Days 2025

From sapphire-cased tourbillons to bold stone dials, our founder picks 5 standout watches from Geneva Watch Days 2025, showcasing independent creativity and craft. Now into its 5th year, Geneva Watch Days feels like it’s coming into its own. Not just another exhibition, it feels like the more relaxed, summer counterpart to Watches & Wonders, spread across the lakeside rather than confined to a single hall. On that basis alone, I’m here for it.After a few days of sun, storms, and endless watch-spotting, I’ve managed to narrow things down to five favourites. As always, these are pieces I’ve actually handled, because in reality you can only judge a watch properly once it’s on the wrist. The UT01 calibre inside is only 3.85mm thick yet still manages to have a shock resistance of 5,000G, a spec you’d normally associate with a tool watch. Add in 50m of water resistance, an ergonomic curved tonneau case that hugs the wrist, and a comfortable rubber strap and you’ve got a piece of high-horology that’s genuinely wearable every day. It’s not the newest release, but getting hands-on with the zirconium-dialled Resurgence, J.N. Shapiro’s answer to true American watchmaking, was a real highlight in Geneva. The 38mm case is just 8.7mm thick, wears beautifully, and is fully wrapped in hand-turned barleycorn guilloché.

These new watches just dropped at Geneva Watch Days – and we're digging every single one | British GQ

There really is something for all horological tastes – from affordable grails to bonkers new complications While still flying under the shadow of the giant that is Watches and Wonders, Geneva Watch Days has steadily grown into a major event on the watch calendar over the past few years, and this year it’s bigger than ever.In our humble opinion, these are the hottest watches served up at Geneva Watch Days. This more intimate horological get together delivers an Insta-worthy flood of new launches. With 66 brands (as opposed to 52 last year) including TAG Heuer and Bvlgari showcasing everything from surprise hits to instant grail-worthy timepieces, there’s no shortage of watch inspo coming out of the watch capital of the world this week.To mark 15 years of independent watchmaking, Laurent Ferrier drops the Classic Tourbillon Teal – Série Atelier VII – a platinum-clad, teal grand feu enamel stunner limited to just five pieces. It’s a bold nod to his award-winning debut, with sky-blue enamel details, a hand-finished double balance spring tourbillon, and serious chronometry cred.

Geneva Watch Days Launches Include Color, Music And Freaks

Geneva Watch Days opened last Thursday with a slew of new introductions that added excitement to the weekend of events surrounding watches. A pure minute repeater – without other high watchmaking functions as part of a grand-complication package – is a rare thing. Even rarer these days is a repeater that does not show its gongs and hammers on the dial side. This minimalist repeater in vintage-y yellow gold appears in a cushion case – a first for the brand – and a glossy onyx dial. The Big Crown hails from the era of legacy tool watchmaking. It was launched in 1938 as a precision timekeeping instrument for gloved airmen – hence the oversized crown and the pointer date function. The in-house caliber 113, a hand-wound movement with a 10-day power reserve, also drives a patented nonlinear power reserve indicator that appears to slow down as the time to wind approaches.Fun fact: This watch also has a function that is quite rare in watchmaking today: it’s a weekly calendar, a useful function for those needing to keep track not just of the day, date and month of the year, but also the weeks.Geneva Watch Days takes place mainly on the Lake Geneva waterfront.

Announcements: Geneva Watch Days 2025 Starts This Thursday – Stay Tuned! - Hodinkee

Over 50 brands and a whole lot of releases from MB&F, Bulgari, Zenith, Oris, and more. The kids are mostly headed back to school, watchmakers have returned from their (much envied) summer holiday, and if you're in the doldrums due to a lack of watch releases, well, it's Christmas in July—er, well, September. That's right, it's time for the sixth edition of Geneva Watch Days, the mid-year trade show attended by 66 brands and an event that promises to bring many great releases to get excited about. Both Andy Hoffman and I will be on the ground at Geneva Watch Days, hoping to provide some real-time coverage when we get hands-on with the watches. If you want a more behind-the-scenes look, feel free to follow us on Instagram, as well (here are the accounts for Hodinkee, Andy, and myself). While the show doesn't have some of the headliners of Watches and Wonders, it's an excellent opportunity for press and collectors alike to gather, look at watches, and take part in a variety of talks and events. If you're in Geneva during the dates, make sure you check the programming schedule. Andy will be hosting a talk with Zenith at 10 am on Saturday, and you won't want to miss it. If you're around, please say hello, just don't mind us if we look somewhat hectic. With only four days and 66 brands, we've gotta hustle!AnnouncementsGeneva Watch Days 2025 Starts This Thursday – Stay Tuned!

The 10 Best Timepieces That Dropped at Geneva Watch Days

Punctuating the end of summer, Geneva Watch Days offered hot new watches from Greubel Forsey, TAG Heuer, Bulgari, Berneron, and more. Geneva Watch Days is an opportunity to engage directly with watchmakers, handle rare novelties before they disappear into waiting lists, and experience the fusion of craft and luxury, transforming the Swiss city into a private club without walls. The fair is an annual reminder that true horology is best appreciated not in isolation but surrounded by the beauty of Geneva and the company of fellow connoisseurs. They look very unusual, divisive even, on some shots, but on the wrist, their purple sparkle draws you in as you question their existence. In fact, they are visible to remind the wearer of this CHF 17,500 (~ $22,000) watch of the proprietary movement with a 6-day power reserve made possible by four spring barrels.Few watches have managed to preserve their shock value for nearly a quarter century, but Ulysse Nardin’s FREAK still feels like it just landed from another planet. At 24 years old, the movement-as-minute hand remains a design gesture no one has truly replicated. The new Crystalium edition cloaks that signature architecture in a black DLC case while layering in high craft. At its center, a ruthenium disc—formed over days through controlled vapor crystallization before being treated with rose gold PVD to accentuate its sparkle, serves as the hour display, with a crystalline texture as rare as its process.Launched in 2020 at the height of the pandemic, Geneva Watch Days began as Bulgari CEO Jean-Christophe Babin’s daring alternative to an imploding Baselworld.

The 10 Best Watches of Geneva Watch Days - Monochrome Watches

The MONOCHROME Editorial Team picks its ten favourite watches from all the news presented during Geneva Watch Days 2025. In just a couple of short years, Geneva Watch Days has grown from about 20 brands into a global powerhouse fair of 66 officially participating brands, and a lot of others in and around the city showcasing tradition, creativity and innovation in watchmaking. This year, several major brands joined in on the celebration of watches with some genuinely impressive new collections. My statement for this year’s Geneva Watch Days is a sincere and much-deserved “Thank You” to Mr. Karl-Friedrich Scheufele and the Ferdinand Berthoud team. Over the course of six years, they poured more than 11,000 hours into what is essentially one of the finest watches ever created, the Naissance d’une Montre 3.I’m relatively new to the watch game, having joined the MONOCHROME team not too long ago. I have had the privilege, though, to quickly learn a lot of things about a lot of brands and watches.
